This program is designed for those that want to understand how a health system works and how to improve how it delivers services. You will learn that health systems have a number of parts that when working well together they allows countries to deliver quality healthcare services every day every where and to everyone.
Health systems are a unique combination of public and private health facilities and public health programs shaped by your country’s history and economic and cultural development. This program will show you how the parts of the health system are organized to work through a number of policies and programs. You will learn how to assess and improve their performance and sustain investments in global health through effective projects.

Everyone that works in government or private run program or health facility needs to know how a health system works and how to improve its functioning. Every health manager and healthcare provider is part of a system that has many parts and needs to play their part well. This program is for doctors, nurses and students that want to find ways to recover from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and keep improving and expanding the services the health system they are part of delivers.
What you will learn
You will learn how you can progressively ensure sustainable improvements of the health system through effective global health interventions and projects. You will become able to determine the maximum return on every investment (ROI) of all you do and how much and how well each donor or stakeholder contributes. How? The secret is to plan for the effective handover of health system interventions from day 1 of any project.
You will learn the RGH system to implement systemic solutions and sustain improvements, identify the various stages of an effective health system improvement project from start-up to handover. You will also learn how to take your work to a higher level of performance by sustaining donor investments in a country’s health system after donor-funded projects end. This program will help you plan and prepare you country’s health system for “graduation” of global health assistance programs . If you work for a donor agency, you will take global health assistance to a new level of engagement and empowerment with grantees and host countries. Below is a summary of what each lesson includes:

How the program works:
A week is the perfect unit of time to begin improving the health system and ensure it provides quality care to all it serves. In this program, you will learn how to work differently and manage your day so you can ensure the health system achieves the desired targets. Every day you will receive your lesson by email and an assignment for you to apply what you learned. You will read the lesson, think about it, and do something with what you just learned. After completing your daily assignment, send it back to Dr Elvira for her feedback. The goal is for you to create and implement a “Health System Success Plan.” Every week, there will be a lesson and discussion with Dr Elvira on Zoom so you can ask all your questions and share with other students as you implement this plan .
You will receive a certificate after you complete all assignments including a “Clinic Success Plan”. In just 7 Days this program will help you ensure your clinic is leading the way in quality healthcare in your community and can run smoothly with or without you there! You will get free weekly coaching for three months to implement your “Health System Success Plan” and advance your career as recognized health system leader.
