“We are in the business of empowering country leaders to succeed. They are the ones that will achieve universal health coverage and sustainable global health results.”

A message from Dr Beracochea
” In 2005, I started my own consulting company because I wanted to dedicate all my efforts to making an impact in achieving the health targets of the Millennium Development Goals. I even called the company MIDEGO for that reason. I have learned a lot about achieving global health goals since then. The most important lesson I have learned in the last 15 years is that the main way to achieve global health goals is by being committed to developing and sustaining effective, self-reliant health systems in every country.
Accountability for sustainably improving quality of healthcare delivery and coverage of health systems is the mark of effective aid.
In 2015 I changed the name of the company to Realizing Global Health to ensure all I do helps develop effective and self-reliant health systems that realize global health goals. By improving the quality and coverage of health care delivery systems is how I help realize global health goals. If despite pandemic, financial and political crises, the world is to achieve universal health coverage by 2030, we all must increase the number of country leaders that are well-supported and can succeed in their work. Country leaders, not consultants, are the ones that will increase health system coverage and improve quality. I believe that if we all work together, we can achieve at least 10% coverage and quality improvement per year and achieve universal coverage in 2030.
Having worked in over 60 countries, through RGH I have developed a number of innovative solutions and health system strengthening programs to empower health professionals to do one thing: succeed. RGH programs help my clients create better performing health teams, sustainably deliver better health services and effectively lead health system improvements in their countries and at their own pace
I believe empowered and confident health professionals at every level in the health system are the only ones that will rapidly and sustainably improve health system outcomes, save more lives and realize global health goals. Will you join me and help more leaders succeed?”
