HFAN Transformation Project making progress in Tanzania

RGH is working on a demonstration project to transform health centers in 100 days into effective health facilities that meet international quality standards and meet the health needs of the communities they serve. Tyma Sokota Fordeva is a health center in the Temeke district of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania where its staff and community leaders are working together to transform it. The goal is to transform the health center into a “Health for all NOW” (HFAN) health center in 100 days and  make it a leader in the delivery of quality health care in Tanzania.

The project is currently in stage 2 of the HFAN transformation program which includes basic renovations to the clinic building, new uniforms for medical staff, online training for staff members, and the development of a “Friends of HFAN” committee that is composed of health center staff and local community leaders. Everyone involved is trained on Health for All NOW principles of “quality, efficiency and consistent health care” and healthcare delivery strategies so that everyone – the staff and the people in the community – are aware of the changes the health clinic is making. Currently, the medical staff are working on their personalized action plans and are starting to implement the overall transformation program.

More updates on the success milestones they are achieving and photos of the transformation to come . . .
