This week Elvira will speak with Pamela Putney, a senior consultant with Global Medical Knowledge, Inc. (GMK). They will discuss her extensive experience within a variety of public health specialties and she will share her thoughts about the importance of compassion in public health and what works and what doesn’t.
Pamela J. Putney is a certified nurse-midwife with over 33 years of domestic and international experience in 37 countries in the design, implementation, management and evaluation of programs focusing on maternal, neonatal, child and reproductive health, gender issues, health policy, sustainable health systems, human resource development, training, strategic planning, organizational development, quality of care, HIV/AIDS, behavior change/communication, proposal and grant writing, fundraising and leadership development. She has authored a number of publications, and has also co-founded two non-profit organizations.
