Aid Effectiveness in Global Health: Lasting Results
Global health is about empowering health professionals all over the world to have the information and technology to manage and deliver quality health services to everyone everywhere every day through a sustainable health system. I believe in my lifetime, we will see health professionals like the one in the photo putting new processes in place to improve patient flow, re-organizing health care delivery routines for efficient use of staff time, improving medical records, reporting and use of medical information, streamlining the referral system to make it more timely and effective, supporting and improving supervision of community health workers and working with district health teams to improve the supply system of medicines and medical equipment.
How can this happen? Because I know that the new generation of global health projects will be about empowering those that do the work of managing vertical health programs and horizontal healthcare delivery facilities so they can do it better, faster and more efficiently; and thus making the work of governments, foundations, donors and global health initiatives finally sustainable.
I know we cannot fail meeting the 2030 global health goals. Let me show you how I think we can make it a reality. Learn about an effective system to improve global health so countries really have effective efficient health systems and achieve sustainable results.
