Courses on how to be a successful global health consultant are usually absent in most master of public health or doctoral programs. To learn how to be a successful and effective consultant in global health you had to go through the very expensive trial and error approach, or learn from a good mentor or role model in your place of work that took the time to show you the ropes. Neither of these approaches work because you are unique and have a unique vision.
Now you can learn what to succeed as a global health consultant but how to succeed doing it. In this program, you will learn and apply the skills and tools that will allow you to put your experience and your master’s or PhD degree to work in new ways, and secure the right assignments and deliver an outstanding performance.

What you learn
This program will show you how to develop your first consulting career plan to advance your career in your current position and successfully change jobs. You will learn to communicate your expertise and craft a LinkedIn profile that demonstrates you have what it takes to be a successful global or public health consultant. You will also learn how to communicate with “prospects” and “clients” and how to work as part of a successful team as the leader or team player. Learn how to leverage every assignment to make the impact you want in global health.
In this program, you will also learn to negotiate contracts, decide how much to charge and and to deliver results so your clients keep coming back. Here is what you will learn in this program:
Day One How to start and advance in your Public Health Consulting career today by defining your unique public health mission and goals as a consultant.
Day Two How to identify and use your unique expertise to improve public health in developing countries.
Day Three How to communicate with clients and deliver outstanding consulting services.
Day Four How to decide how much your services are worth.
Day Five How to market your consulting services so the clients who need you can find you.
Day Six How to find your perfect support team so you can focus on your area of expertise.
Day Seven How manage your consulting career to get to the next level and make a bigger difference.
How the program works:
A week is the perfect unit of time to develop your first business plan as a successful consultant that provides effective solutions. In this program, you will learn how to work differently and manage your day to achieve your weekly and monthly business targets. Every Monday you will receive a lesson by email and an assignment for you to apply what you learned. You read the lesson, think about it, and do something with what you just learned. After completing your daily assignment, send it back to your personal coach for feedback. Every week, there will be a lesson and discussion with Dr Elvira on Zoom so you can ask all your questions and share with other students.
You will receive a certificate after you complete all assignments including developing and implementing a “Consulting Success Plan”. In just 12 weeks, this program will help you have the right systems in place and the right work habits to work on your own. You receive weekly individual coaching for three months to develop and implement your “Consulting Success Plan” and advance your career as recognized successful and efficient consultant.
